Book Reviews

For most of my life, I have been blessed with a love for reading and learning. For that I am eternally grateful to my parents and a particularly good English teacher, Mrs. Lemke. A few years ago, I got into the habit or writing reviews; at first, more for myself so I could build a reference library of sorts, and later I began posting reviews online.  I first got the idea of writing reviews after reading Louis L’Amour’s autobiography; The Education of a Wandering Man in why the great western writer chronicled the books he had read as a young man.

As of the time I created this page, I have written over 500 book reviews and will continuously add more. Most of them are posted on Amazon. In fact, at one time, I was an Amazon Top 500 reviewer, then they changed the ranking system. I also have reviews posted on a few other locations and I thought it might helpful to post links to my more popular book reviews. This should make it easier for you to find something interesting.

For your convenience, I will list them by genre and will also try to keep everything alphabetical by author. I’m not a real “techy” type person and not sure how well this will turn out, and I may even have to create separate pages for each genre, so please bear with me and check back often.

I will not publish a review of any book that I did not consider to be particularly useful. Every book you find listed here is well worth reading, however I will designate the books that I consider to be the “best of the best” in each genre with – *Must Read. Happy searching and please feel free to contact me if you are looking for something specific.
